An alternative cellphone charger, designed to meet the on-the-go power needs of battery-hungry cellphones, has been launched by Eastbridge Marketing.
Called SmartCharge, the unit is part of the company's new line, which currently consists of a lightweight and compact charger positioned for emergency use that provides up to two hours of instant talktime and a dual AC/DC combination charger for home and car that is said to be exceptionally convenient for travel.
The battery operated charger works with two replaceable AA cells, while the dual charger is UL listed and compatible with voltage standards worldwide.
Eastbridge said what sets SmartCharge apart from the competition is its patented circuitry that ensures each cellphone battery continuously receives the correct voltage.
Safety features engineered into the controller are said to help prevent heat build-up and potential damage to the cellphone battery.
SmartCharge, which began shipping in January, has a suggested $19.99 for the battery pack and $34.99 for dual AC/DC charger.
