BoomerangIt, an Internet-powered global registration system, offers serialized, tamper-resistant label and tags to help return lost and stolen property to rightful owners.
Ideal for protecting cellphones, cameras, CD players, laptops, PDAs and other consumer electronics products, once registered, BoomerangIt can help retrieve a lost or stolen item.
Labels and tags are available online at www.boomerangit.com and are also being sold at CE specialty stores, said the company.
Labels and tags are sold in a variety of packages, starting at $9.95 for one registration for 10 years, with volume discounts available.
A new retail pack, featuring six registrations for 10 years for the suggested retail of $19.95, is available this spring.
Once registered, if an item is lost or stolen, anyone who finds it can contact BoomerangIt online or by phone. Using the information in the product registration, the item will be returned to the owner.
The registration information also provides a property inventory record, which may be used for police and insurance purposes.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
