Belkin had travelers in mind for some of its most recent introductions, made this month.

The company debuted three laptop cases and two mice this month; some of the products are designed for the Asus Eee PC mini laptop.

The cases are scheduled to be offered in September, while the mice are currently available.

The Mini laptop quilted case features a texture that's meant to protect computer from "light wear and tear while on the go." Made of polyester, the case fits 7-inch laptops. It has a $19.99 suggested retail.

The Mini laptop carrying case ($24.99), which is made of neoprene, comes with a detachable strap for carrying ease and outside pockets for extra storage.

The third case, a neoprene sleeve ($12.99) is meant to protect the computer from "minor scratches."

The two mice introduced were a wireless travel mouse a retractable mouse. The USB-compatible wireless mouse ($19.99) has three programmable buttons: micro switch, mechanical scrolling wheel and depressing function on wheel. It also has an on/off switch for power conservation.

The other mouse ($14.99) has a retractable cable that's meant to stay untagled and out of the user's way. These cases and mice will be available in four colors: jetset red, plum berry, techno blue and black.

Belkin also introduced accessories for more standard-sized laptops. Its CushTop Hideaway is designed to protect a user's lap from a hot computer, while providing a place to store the laptop and its power supply when it's not in use. Made of microfiber, the Hideaway has a $64.99 suggested retail.

The laptop Cooling Hub ($49.99) is engineered for use with laptops measuring up to 17 inches. It features four USB ports for added connectivity.

Meanwhile, the laptop Cooling Lounge ($39.99) has extra width and an adjustable height for added comfort. It too works with laptops up to 17 inches, although it does not have added USB ports.

Finally, the laptop CoolStrip ($19.99) is designed as a non-powered cooling device. "The simple design of the CoolStrip lifts your laptop, allowing it to breathe while also managing your power cord," said Belkin. As with the other cooling devices, it works with laptops measuring up to 17 inches. The company said the CoolStrip is dishwasher-safe.

The cooling products and the CushTop Hideaway will be available in October.

Belkin also introduced cases for its Designed for Dell collection. See p. 58 for more information.
