LAS VEGAS - Looking to be part of the growing success of portable soft storage accessories, hard-rack home storage maker Atlantic, based in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., introduced a line of soft home media storage products called Taxi earlier this month here at the International Consumer Electronics Show.

The Taxi line, Atlantic said, provides more choice, style, organization and convenience for today's active lifestyle. The products come in nine different styles, with four color combinations: black/blue, black/gray, black/ yellow and black/red.

Made of heavy-duty nylon, the line consists of wallets in four capacities, and shoulder and belt bags that store CD players, MP3 players, cameras, CDs and jewel boxes.

Wallets include #8900, which holds 24 CDs, #8901 for 48-CD capacity, #8910 for 96, and #8911 for 208. Item #8920 is a shoulder bag that holds a portable CD player and comes with six plastic sleeves for 12 CDs. It can also store CD jewel boxes, credit cards, money, keys and other small items.

Waist pouches come in two varieties that offer six sleeves and can hold a portable CD player. Item #8921 has a case for a cellular phone, while #8922 has a pouch that holds a plastic drinking bottle.

Waist pouch #8930 holds an MP3 player or a camera. Item #8940 is a car visor 10-CD-capacity holder that can store credit cards, pens and other small items, as well.

Taxi soft cases range in suggested retail from $7.99 to $39.99 and will be available April 1.

In other Atlantic introductions at CES, the company offered its CD Toys Collection, including a penguin (#6751), ladybird (#6752), bear (#6754) and mouse (#6755). All hold 24 CDs. Suggested retails are $14.95. The penguin and ladybird are currently available.

Lanterna CD towers incorporate "Eastern" design elements, yet complement a unique fun and modern look of "Western" innovation, Atlantic said. Tower colors come in cool arctic blue, rich emerald green, fiery red and twilight black.

Item #6151 holds 25 CDs, #6152 holds 50 and #6153 holds 75 CDs. Suggested retail prices range from $24.95 to $49.95, and availability is June 1.

Added to the company's wire collection are Nestables, designed to enable racks to be nested together to save space. Five SKUs hold 20, 40, 60, 100 and 140 CDs, respectively. Two DVD SKUs hold 38 and 74 DVDs, respectively. Suggested retail prices range from $2.99 to $29.99, and product is currently available.
